  1. lol I thought they'd buried cats like that South American stadium (forgot which club). I think the Ws after the Pagan Witch treatment were placebo effect though 🤷.

  2. Just a couple of points, 1. The shirt was supposed to have been buried under the pitch. This was proven false as the pitch and sub layers were removed on several occasions for work to the sub strata, drainage and watering as well as just renewing the grass. 2. The witch was brought in by a group of fans and never given access to the actual stadium. 3. The change in performance coincided with the change of Manager Gordon Strachan took over from Grey.

  3. It’s a good story. However, the real reason why saints suddenly started winning at home was because training sessions were deliberately moved from the training ground to the stadium to get the team used to playing in their new stadium and stop the fear that they had playing in such a big ground

  4. You hear these stories about alot of new grounds, apparently there's spurs shirts buried at the emerites….there's rumours of Arsenal shirts in Tottenhams ground, and spurs shirts in foundations of Wembley. Was there a curse? Who knows but I certainly believe there's Portsmouth shirts there

  5. This is completely apocryphal, when a newspaper approached the then club secretary for a comment the response was "I don't know if you can print the word "Bullshit" but if you can feel free to quote me"
