Hey everyone,

after many years without a bike (last time I rode regularly was as a kid on a mountain bike), I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my very first gravel bike: the Cinelli Zydeco LaLa. I can’t wait to pick it up in the next few days and start riding again!

Here are the specs:

Frame: Columbus Zonal triple-butted aluminum

Fork: Columbus Futura Disc Carbon

Groupset: Shimano Sora 2×9

Brakes: Mechanical disc brakes

Wheelset: Cinelli gravel-ready alloy (tubeless-compatible but will probably run tubes first)

Tire clearance: up to 40 mm

Extras: Mounts for racks, fenders, and bikepacking gear

I live in Bavaria (Germany), so most of my riding will be on a mix of paved bike paths, forest/gravel roads, and some light trails. I’m excited to see how this bike feels compared to the MTBs I grew up with – especially on longer distances.

Any tips for a first-time gravel rider? Things I should keep in mind for setup, tire pressure, or beginner upgrades?
