E Mountain biking might seem confusing at first but it’s easy to get the hang of all the jargon and terminology! Nevertheless, here is Chris to help explain.

  1. How to I lock my Ebike when in town? Is Insurance a must? How loud should the motor be? How do I know if my Ebike needs servicing? Are women Ebikes different and why?

  2. My question
Would you add the same amount of psi to your fork on a 20 pound heavier e bike (than your regular bike )as you would if you were heavier by 20 pounds heavier around the girth , in other words does the weight distribution make a difference as to how much additional psi you put in your fork and shock?

  3. The information on your channel makes deciding to own, and then riding and maintaining an ebike easy. Thanks, guys.
I think the only question I have left at this point is how do I know when the motor assembly is ready for service?

  4. You can ride the Shimano e8000 switched on but in "off mode", I ride down hill like this sometimes. With one click of the mode change button it will change to eco and then again to trail or boost with no error message.

  5. What is Muc-Off? … not sure if I've ever seen the products before?, but might buy some after watching this, some good cleaning tips BTW

  6. Fab channel, great chemistry. Could you do a programme comparing a few different make bikes together, not elite v expensive bikes but more what most will buy and afford. I know choice is personal but it would be great to see you do a selection of emtbs side by side.

  7. Great program. I am thinking of getting a ebike to commute to work but unsure on what to look for and if possible.
My journey to work is 28miles each way and I wouldn't be able to charge battery when get to work.

  8. I think the Chinese is the best at eMTB. Have you ever seen the Bafang powered eMTB? 120mph on Chinese street, the biker was directly crashed to death. The motor is damn impressive though.

  9. My ebike cuts power???
    I recently got a 48 V rear 1000 watt
    Dumb down factory to 750.
    A 58 ah battery.
All I hook up is the motor wires and the battery. No ebike brake. I use mine no power. It flaps the breeze.
    No peddle assist ither.
It ran fine a few days then the power cut out. checked fuse. OK
Replace same fuse. Power came on lights on.????
1 mile later the same musical fuse.
Then half mile then quarter the blocks.
    It's getting worse and worse.
    Got a clue?

  10. Hi just got my first e bike haibike hardnine 5 so far lovin it but can you answer one question pse once I reach max assistance speed 15.5 mph I find it feels as if the motor is restricting me almost holding me back sensation is this normal ?

  11. Great content, thanks. Would love to see some eBike trail etiquette included as the eBikes have brought in a lot of newbies to the mt biking sport. Above and beyond regular cycling etiquette I advise eBike riders to be EXTRA courteous to EVERY OTHER trail user out there. The last thing we need in the mt biking community is more conflict that could result in trail restrictions for all 🙂

  12. Thankyou, easy to understand for first timers. I just got my first e bike, a cannondale Montera 4. Just waiting for day light for first ever e bike experience????

  13. What mode… It depends on what kind of ride I want. If I want to push myself, I ride more in Eco. I want to move a bit faster and I’m gonna be in the saddle for 2-3 hours w lots of elevation, I use trail. If it’s a sucky climb and I just wanna get back to the top… Boost all day, baby!

  14. I’m in the Arizona Desert and I have a Polygon still in the box in my truck. I’m waiting to get a 2” receiver put on the front of my truck before putting it together again. ( I rode it for a day then took it back apart and put it in the box could lock it up in the camper shell on my truck ). I’m a new e-bike rider. 😅

  15. What's confusing is how these big bike companies stay in business. Poor customer service, ridiculously over priced goods. They are bicycles!
Trek arbitrarily swaps components, claiming it's Shimano's fault. But what goes up …crashes. Look at the RV industry, pleasure boats, autos.all are suffering from their post pandemic greed fest.
