Planning on some bigger events next year and trying to get into the rhythm of packing my bike. It's been a few years since I've been out on the bike for overnights so I'm interested in feedback and suggestions on anything at all as I figure it all out again.
Quick out and back overnighter planned this weekend using what's pictured (listed below) plus Ortlieb panniers as a test run for bigger trips.
-Gunnar Crosshairs 62cm frame
-Ultegra 2×10: 12-27 and 50-34 (I have a 12-32 cassette for hillier routes)
-Astral Radiant rims laced to Ultegra hubs
-Continental Contact Urban 700×42 running tubes
-Axiom Streamliner DLX Road rack
-Big Agnes tent and flip flops riding on top
-Ortlieb Back-Roller 20L x 2
-camping gear all in one pannier; clothes, food, camp stove, instant coffee, toiletries in the other
-Revelate Designs half frame bag 6L
-small left side pocket with phone, keys, wallet, small battery pack; big right side pocket with spare tubes, bike lock, snacks
-Rivendell Mike FramePlumper pump
-Revelate Designs MagTank
-snacks I am actively eating
-Revelate Designs Feed Bag
-will be empty at kickoff so I can stash soda/snacks/anything I want handy for a bit
-LeadOut Burrito Bag
-small tools, patch kit, tire levers, lighter, spare lights
This setup leaves me with plenty of room to add extra water via Nalgenes for more remote routes, and my panniers are rather empty. Is there anything I should look at changing?

You’ll need legs of steel to go touring with that gear combination. Look for something with ~18-20 inches in your easiest gear if you’re climbing with touring gear.
