47 KMH total respect to everyone here.Just out of interest how many watts are required to keep up this speed?.I ask as Steve Slade [BHPC UK] can keep up an average speed of 56.3 KMH on 190/200 watts on a bike with a frontal area of less than 0.18 square meters with an insanely low drag coefficient [streamlined fairing totally enclosing his bike] .This,in no way detracts from the achievement here,as I am unable to maintain this speed on my bike unless there is a tail wind behind me.
Is it an elastic band that people are constantly trying to break by doing constant surges for no reason, or is the peloton working together taking measured pulls just to go fast?
