rexom’s rise isn’t without legitimate criticisms but so much of the hatred just feels forced the third oldest club in football history has experienced a whirlwind half decade their Hollywood celeb takeover whilst in the depths of non-league to now the championship following three straight promotions with a thriving docu series and a bizarre global fan base granted the Disneyification of Rexom might be frustrating for many other lower league clubs that are battling an increasingly harsh economic landscape to then hear about the media’s portrayal of Rexom as a fairy tale is cringeworthy but I guarantee that most of those clubs fan bases are desperate for owners like Rexoms ones that invest strategically both in the team and the city ones that engage with their community positively and more importantly ones that continually deliver sure it’s not an organic rise like Stockports for instance who have essentially done the same thing but without the cash injection or media glaze but I don’t think Rexom are ruining football either it’s not another vanity sports washing project or some billionaire’s new shiny toy

From a Port Vale fan I can assure you that the hate is real, not forced. And we were ahead of the times- we hated Wrexham when they were previously in the league in the league, we still hated them when they were non league. It'd be a stupid time to stop now!
wait THEY ARE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP now!! damn they fr made dreams come true years of support must be the most amazing feeling…..I hope man utd get back up there someday…
How much did they pay you
I hate to break this to you but nobody except wrexham fans even think about wrexham, nevermind take time out of their busy lives to either love or hate them.
Some of us have clubs with problems of their own which need all our attention.
I don’t care if they are investing in the city or not. It doesn’t matter if it’s Saudi or American or whatever. When you pour money into football you kill the sport. It doesn’t matter if it’s billionaires, millionaires or whatever you want. Football isn’t about money.
Knowbody hates them?
I like it… U can't get two more legitimate guys than these 2…thats why it's working so well.
What legitimate criticisms? Name one. They've kept well within the Financial Fair Play regulations.
And saying "it's not fair that their owners give a shit," is not a legitimate criticism.
It's not about jalous or not. It's about which social functions this project carries today. But yeah, also nothing surprising in the fact that Disney-World FC owned by two Forever Happy Pink Dinosaurs can just look disgusting on the background of everything else going on in the world and Britain particularly
I don’t hate them, but as someone from a 51%-league it’s honestly beyond me that British supporters doesn’t seem to see the problems with 1) paying for success (your whole system is disgusting) and 2) the disneyfication of your own culture.
I’m not desperate for any owners. I own my own club. And that means a lot more than temporary success.
I don't hate Wrexham, I just hate Ryan Reynolds. #Justice4JustinBaldoni
I'm a Notts County fan, I think I'm one of the few in these comments that it's fair that I hate them since we were their only rivals in the national league and then league two
I love what they’re doing, I love the quality teams they have put together each season, they’re fun, the documentaries is awesome, from what I’ve seen the town deserves a success that they’re seeing. I am a huge fan and have adopted them as my new Football Club. They surpassed Manchester United in my eyes… I am a supporter through and through.
Drove out to San Diego back in 23 to watch them play Manchester United in San Diego and it was at that game that I switched my allegiance.
No I hate them with a passion. Not even English or Welsh
Stop the lies
Stockport got massive sponsors who paid for it all
Just google VITA (their sponsor and you'll know it all)
I never even see anyone hating Wrexham, all the people I know love Wrexham 😅 (including me)
Wrexham's story? Love it! And I am not even a Wrexham supporter — but it's fun to witness such wonderful story.
They’re keeping the football identity. That’s what’s important
Forced? It’s just money tainting football and fans hate that. Luton town did something more impressive without astronomical injections of capital
It's forced by Prem fans. But fans of the teams Wrexham have bought their way past will be annoyed.
As long as it’s done with love to the sport who cares. Both these guys shown the love and I’m here for it.
I'm a Chester fan, the hate is most definitely real
I dont hate what is being done at wrexham, but i do think that welcome to wrexham gives them an unfair advantage because it gives them a huge increase to their earnings which means they can spend more withing the ffp limits. That said, that is in no way the fault of wrexham, or rob and ryan.if anything them two are really good owners because they have those connections to bring incmore eyes to the club that then brings in more revnue whether it be by the show directly or by higher paying sponsors they likely would not have got otherwise. I have to take my hat off to the both of them for what they have done and im a wycombe fan so its arguable that they were a huge part of our promotion push falling apart (but also mike dodds and dan rice are shite.)
Championship is already a little too big for the city, Premier League will ruin it. Local lifetime fans will inevitably get pushed out.
I don't even watch soccer. But if Mac owns a soccer team, then I'll support it.
Unless they get a huge investment, the Championship will chew them up and spit them out! At least Sheffield Wednesday, with their 15 players and an inevitable points deduction due to numerous HMRC breaches, will occupy one of the relegation places.
It's far easier to achieve success like wrexhams if you have a solid community such as Wrexham does, respect, a togetherness, a mutual goal which is why Modruc and Snoop dog have chosen Swansea to invest in, a similar community, like minded, together and a working class history.
In other words invest in a city or town that has history, culture, tradition and not divisive religion.
They bought the club for 2 million which dont get me wrong is a lot of money however this is not some saudi billion dollar takeover
As a Leicester City fan. I’d much rather have Ryan owning the team
I’m not against Wrexham but I hate how the media extremely overrate them
There's mad haters, and they all say the same thing every year for the past three years, they're going to get relegated, and they're saying it again this year. So when these people are right, one out of five times they'll say, See I told you. Those people are the bottom of the barrel Human beings.
Prople ho hate Wrexham are retarded and jealous, end of story.
Definitely forced. But that’s football tribalism for you. No one is interested in being objective.
It’s the way they have risen so quickly and the nonstop publicity thanks to Hollywood owners. The Championship is much tougher from top to bottom.
UP THE TOWN…Rob is a homeboy…GO PHILS…
It’s just like Marseille, they insult psg because of Qatari owner, but everyone year they pray for a Arabic guy to buy the club
A better question is – Is the love only there because of the hype- how many of you gave a shit about Wrexham when they were languishing in non league football?
I mean, there litteraly doing exactly what the Middle East are doing with clubs like Man City and Newcastle (giving them a bottomless bag of cash to splash) so why cyrique them?
So the marketing team is targeting the YouTubers next, like with psg's PR team did in the last few months.
Great, hope they got at least 6 figures out of it otherwise they're cheap af.
