Just finished my first solo bikepacking trip, full autonomy, no abusé of credit card. I was familiar with the discipline but it was my first time solo.
The road itself was incredible, shoutout to the redditers who told me about Veluwe and the VenBahn.
Nederland is a paradise for roadbikers and very safe, I was afraid of letting the bike alone but at the end of the day nothing really happened.
Following the Rhein was really nice especially after Bonn (Eurovelo 15 if I'm correct)
The Eiffel area was beautifuuul, but steep as hell, and riding the Nürburgring was awesome, definitly a one in a lifetime experience.
If I could advice you, avoid Rotterdam, very industrial and nothing to see (and I falled because of a drunk man who ran into me 🥲), just go around and aim direct to Kinderkik windmills which are very beautiful. You should also avoid Duissburg and all of the NL-DE border area.
The road was very nice using a gravel, decathlon gears are awesome (I added fork bags, even though i dont have bolts on my fork, but I used some stainless clamps, it it didn't move an inch, could give the reference of the clamp if you want)
Some stats: 10 days, 1000km, more wild camping than commercial camping (quite easy to find a quiet place, but be aware that finding water might be more difficult so I advice to anticipate if you plan ton cook at night)
I'll be glad to answer questions and give more feedback if you guys ask.
