I just got back from a 25-day bike tour through the southern half of Sweden; Malmö to Mora and Falun and back again. That’s about 2,000 km (1,250 miles) with 11,000 meters (36,000 ft) of climbing.
I’m 59 years old, not exactly a speed demon (averaged 16 km/h / 10 mph) and not covering ultradistance days either (about 80+ km / 50 miles per day). But I had a wonderful time pedaling through rain, sun, forests, lakes, and small towns.
Full disclosure: I’m very much an amateur at video editing, so the film ended up being 3 hours long. It’s mostly about the joy of riding itself (because that’s what I love), and a bit less about “arriving at places.”
