I started hearing a weird noise mid-ride when I was applying pressure to the bars. I stopped and found this in my stem. I don’t know how, why, or when it happened.
What could be the cause of this? It’s a FELT DA1, previously owned by the Rally team, and I’ve been training on it for the past year.

I’m very glad you found that before catastrophic failure.
A crack at the pinch bolt ear is usually associated with over torquing the bolt, but that’s not what such a failure normally looks like; the failure isn’t typically bisecting the ear like this.
