What a brilliant bike ride 💯

So i rode from Liverpool to West Kirby and then down to Chester on my bike today…

Im proper proud of myself for doing it because for some reason when I started riding my bike I wanted to ride to Chester (Well because its quite far away) and I done it…But i not only did I ride there i rode there via West Kirby where I could have just gone straight through Birkenhead and carried on but I chose this route to make it more worthwhile…

Ill say this but bike riding is one of my favourite things I do now since I beat my addiction and before that you would never see me near one….

Good afternoon. So, out on a bike ride. Nice big long one as planned. Now, where I’m going to, I’ve never been to on me bike before. I’m going through some places that I have that obviously I have been to, but I’m going to carry on a little um a little bit further than what I normally would normally have done. So hopefully I’m going to get there and obviously do a little video along the way and see um see if we can make it. So in a bit. So I’ve just got me zone to get on um well the ferry if I can. I’m going to get try and get the ferry over and then we go from there. So you can probably have a guess where I’m going to start. Let’s go. Kenny now coming out to London road TJ’s St. George is all I’m going the other side of that but on the ferry hopefully. Anyway, Victoria Street, Matthew Street down there. Now coming on to Castle Street. Now if you know me, you know me. So yeah. So, let’s go and get the ferry. So, the fy’s coming in. There’s the back of the queue. But suppose it doesn’t matter, does it? Because still got to get on no matter what. But I’m on me bike, so it doesn’t really matter if I’m first or last. So, yeah. um get me ticket with me only like [Music] [Music] welcome to easy fairies. Got me ticket. Here’s the queue. Yeah. All the way around. Different things that they say. But as I said, doesn’t matter whether I’m first or last on my bike. So I’ll be by the gates anyway. So where’s the ferry coming in? Foster. people speak. Okay. See you. Okay, that’s where we’re going over there. And then we’re going to go right along to Brighton. from from there all the way along there right up until you get to the blue shite stadium. That’s going to be all brand new buildings and apartments that I bet you. So I’ll add like all in there. Hey, you seen this? What a [ __ ] name to call your stadium. Imagine waiting that long to build a brand new stadium and your [ __ ] owners call it that. The hill [ __ ] stadium. This is so I’m off the ferry on the prom. The start of the Rachon pump some size. Time to go. Got bats bit of beach. [Music] It’s come to the end of the um the prom now. So we’re in New Brighton. 10 minutes it took me. Do you know what? Me knee starting to give me jib already. Definitely got a dodgy knee. Me old age creeping in now. So from here we’re going to West Kirby. Okay. So, up until the last time I rode to West Caribbean back, I didn’t know you could come down this path along this way, I always cut through, but it’s full of sand. So, I’m going to have to get off here a sec. Yeah. Some that bit of sand there. What’s it called? Per rock. Few people on the beach. Let’s go. Last time I come that’s all full of sand. There was no sand on here at all. So had to push me back through it. So yeah, we’re going along here now. Well, I have no idea what’s going on here. There’s all stores. Cheesecakes. Oo. B get something in there. They got food. All food stuff. Almost like a general market. Plenty of food stuff though. All the way down. Oh, I’m starving. Yeah, definitely. um a food market cuz it’s just loads of loads of food stores. But I had a brekie this morning and it’s a pity I am on my bike. But then again, it probably cost a fortune anyway, doesn’t it? Bullies are always ripoff. So we carry on with our journey anyway on the open pavement. It’s only full of sand as well. Let’s see. Yeah, it is. So we have to push it through. Yeah. Yeah. Just there. If I try and ride through that, I’ll fall off me bike. So from there to that right along the coast now to Hoy Lake. Let’s go. I see him there. Just flew past me on a pedal assist. Now, I’m debating whether to get a pedal assist cuz in my eyes, is it cheating? Well, a full-on lucky bike is if you go on a bike ride on a ley bike and push a button and don’t pedal, then what’s the point in going on a bike ride? So, that’s the only thing that’s stopping me. But also, I’ve had to go over pedal assistant and [ __ ] me the boss. So, we’ll have to wait and see how I feel. He’s gone. Local lifeguards doing the patrols. Lovely view. Not going there, mate. I know. Yeah. More sand. Now we come around that corner. Hold me phone. I nearly whacked into that sand. And if I if I did, I definitely would have come off. Tried to push it through. Oh, there’s a little saying about saying don’t look back when you’re going forward. But you look back and then you can see how far you’ve come and go carry on going forward. Does anyone actually know what they’re for or what their purposes? Because they’re only here. They’re not down there. Are they so now? It’s all lighthouse there. I thought this bit was Mo Hoy. It’s not. It’s Moles or however you pronounce it. M O E L S. M. Is that how we say it over there? Whatever that was. I’m coming up to Hoy Lake now cuz I can see the life station. Look though, the lifeboat station. So I’m at H Lake now. There’s high lake lifeboat station. Look at this hovercraft here. Oh my god. Never had that yet. We There’s the station. Oh, I’m guessing it goes out there right onto anyone needs rescue rescuing even funny getting them into that. We’re coming off now. Don’t know whether you can see Hilbury Island over there. Well, that’s it anyway. So, we’re going to go left here and then this takes us into Hy Lake Village. So, where’s O Lake Village? Well, a bit of it. And there’s the station over there. Now, we could go over the station and down the back path, but I’m going to go down here on the main road. And this will take me right into West Kirby. So, I am in West Kirby about to go to the marina. Just shake the marina down here. Look at that. The last few times I’ve come, that ice cream store has been closed. And that’s the best one out of the two of them there. But I’m not I’m not getting ice cream because that is where my next destination becomes. So, I’m just going to park up here for a minute, have a little drink, and then I’m off on the whittle way to you guess the ice cream park gate next port call. I’ve gone the wrong way. I can help you. I went down the wrong ramp. It’s where I am anyway. West Kirby Marina. So, I’ve been here a few times on me bike now, and I probably said this a few times, but the very first time I rode here, I was done in. But now, it’s a piece of piss. So, the hard work starts from here cuz where I want to go, I’m not even a quarter of the way yet. Um, actually, no, I think I am. I’m a quarter of the way. So, I’m going to Park Gate and then obviously I’m going to carry on from there. So, it’s still a secret cuz I might make it. And if I don’t make it, let myself down. But I don’t think I’m going to let myself down. Uh might take a bit of time getting here. I might get there a bit late late tonight, but I’m going to get there. But trying to have a drink anyway. Having a little snicker. Some nuts. Home. May I add as well from New Brighton to West K took me about 40 minutes which is quite quick to be honest. So 6.8 miles to park 8. So we go in here. This is called Ashton Park. This takes us onto the Whittle way. So, I’m thinking it’s in here somewhere. There we go. This way. And then bang it. Right. And yes, this is it. Let the fun begin. So, this is the the widow’s version of the rally. Can’t really see. But it’s a boss. You know what I’m So, however you pronounce it. That’s where I am anyway. from another name up to Hezwolf posh place then telling it’s all posh over this side in it now if you’ve got dough you can have live over here or should I say if you can live Over here you’ve got Zoe name horses. Okay. Going past you. Yeah. Yeah. Don’t see that often. [Applause] Now this road is the one road that puts me off doing this path. I [ __ ] hate it. So you can’t see it, but that’s some big [ __ ] hill up there. A boss house. We can wake you up. That’s the um it’s my boss view. So anyway, yeah, there’s that hill. So yeah. So it’s a gradual one, but it’s a pain in the ass one. Park gate 2 mile. That’s the top of the hill. Now we go down. Wee. We come off the path now onto the main road and then this takes us down to Park Gate where I’m going to have a little ice cream. There we go. Welcome to Park. Legs are feeling a little bit tired now. I’ll admit that. So, coming around onto the front to the ice cream. Here we are. Can’t cut through Park Gate without going for an ice cream in here. [Music] Look at that. All the way from Liverpool. It’s in McNichols or Nicholls. Is it Nickels and Park for an ice cream? And it’s worth it. hand a lovely grass view. So, I’m going to eat this continue where I’m going. Me next stop is Hadlo Station. Okay. And then I’ll tell you where I’m going from there. Forgot to say as well, chocolate caramel fudge on a chocolate waffle cone. Got on to that one as well. Park gates homemade ice cream shop. No one seems to be there. Everyone seems to go there. Oh, maybe one day I’ll try that. But then if I’m disappointed, be a waste of money, won’t it? Cuz I know what I’m getting from there. The sun’s come out to play there now. So, the ice cream’s done. See that sun’s cracking the flags now. Ice cream’s done. Very, very nice. £460 for two scoops on a chocolate waffle cone. Anyway, 3.2 2 miles to Hadro station. Then when I get there, I’ll reveal where I want to go to for me final destination. So we go up here now. We’re back on the track. Back under the trees now in the shade, which is a good thing. Bit of a hill now. Going through some little random housing estate. Then we come back on to the path up here. It’s all eerie. I’ll show you in a minute. So, come through that little estate back on to where I mean eerie. Spooky down here. Don’t you think? Well, I do. Still caused a bit of the sun, I think, today, haven’t I? Get out my way. Back in the lovely countryside. That white gate there, cross over that road and then you’re in Hadlow station. Now I’m at Havlo Station and uh 3.2 mi my ass didn’t seen that. So this what the third or fourth time I’ve come through here right and the very first time I never knew it existed and when I rode through I was like wow and it’s still not still feel the same now. Have a look, [Applause] boss. Just normally there’s a cafe open there. Probably obviously it’s well obviously it’s shut big horse t but yeah it’s boss and it’s just you would not think it’s there and wow. So yeah, that’s what I’m going to do. Got to got to stop a minute now. And then now what I’m going to tell you is where I’m going to carry on. So um the final destination where I want to end up is Chester. I wanted to ride to Chester for a while and why not do it today. So we could do the full W way circular and either get the train at Hootton or ride all the way back around to Burkin Head and then back home or just carry on to Chester and get the train from Chester. So if I get the sign if I get the train from Chester, that’s about 40 miles I’ve done, which is still good. Um it’s saying I’m an hour away on me bike now. 11 12 miles. It’s going to take probably take me a bit longer than an hour, but we’ll see. So, Chester is my final destination. If you’ve stayed on and watched this much, thank you. If I’ve just passed someone down there dead a while back and they just caught up with me. That’s how long I’ve been sat here. Now, I’ve been sat here about 10 minutes. But yeah, so Chester, let’s go. Chester, here we come. So, I’ve come off there now. I’ve got to go up that this [ __ ] hill. Oh, look at that. Nice house. Wow. All lovely houses around here. We look at that. That one’s some street. Nice big houses. Nice street. So this is Chester Road. Little something. So you come through here on the car. Do you when you’re going to Wales? No idea. Continue on Chester Road for 3 miles. 3 miles on this road then. Let’s go. No, you definitely don’t go down this road. This is a new road to me. Never been down here either. E even in a car. This road I’m on. You know when you do that little turn off by the garage, it’s a car wash now onto the Welsh road. This is the I think this is the continuation of it where you go right towards Wales. You go this way and you’re here. That’s the road. That’s what I think I’m on. There’s a good cycle lane. This and yes, I am using them. Still going.4 7 in the night. Hopefully I get there for 8:00. [ __ ] dangerous these roads as well. People get knocked off, ran over and even killed. And yeah, I’m on me [ __ ] phone and now going over the roundabout. It’s saying M56 Run Corn Manchester Chester 5 miles Chester Zoo. I’m getting there. Not far now. Woo! Sign there. Chester. Woohoo! Oh, so the map’s telling me to come this way. I have definitely caught the sun, but the canal computer says no. Canal closed. So, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I have to go back this way and see if the map gives me an alternative route. Trying to [ __ ] get across this road and it’s [ __ ] dangerous as [ __ ] Watch. Now, I’m trying. I’m now on video and the cars have stopped. So, if I would have went along that canal, that would have sucked me straight into Chester City Center. We’re about to climb this [ __ ] big hill and go a different way. So, in 200 y, turn right onto Liverpool Road, A5116. [ __ ] Liverpool roads everywhere. So, it ain’t giving me another route on the bike. So, I’ve had to put the car route in. So, it’s giving me a route. So, hopefully the road I can ride on the road cuz sometimes you can’t, can you? There we go. Oh, I’m actually [ __ ] now. Woo. So, we’re going right here at them lights. Says 10 minutes in a car, so half an hour for me. So, let’s go. Keep going. Can’t be far now. I know. We’ve just gone past the counter of Chester Chesters or whatever the freaking hell it’s called. There it is over there. And we’re coming up to Bash train station. Another nice big hill. I actually can’t wait to finish. See you back at Liverpool, mate. I’m going to be here now. North Wales. Nice church. Right. I’ve only ever been to Chester in the train or Chester Zoo. Chester Zoo is not even in Chester, is it? Got the Chester, the train to Chester to get to go to Wales. That’s about it. So, let’s have a little explore down this subway. Says I’m 3 minutes away from there. So, I think I’m in actually here now. This is a guess. What’s going on here? [Music] Woo! I like it. ET. Yes. Did you hear that? There’s a homeless guy lying there. He’s got ET. You can probably still hear it. Oh, carry me bike up these stairs. Genuinely can’t believe that. Just come down that subway. Listen, and there’s ET theme tunes on and I’m on me bike. So, I’m guessing this is Chester City Center. famous in it. In a quarter of a mile, your destin for me coming down here. See, I want to find the um the clock. Loads of restaurants. Look at that. Wow. M first time 4 45 am I right? Yeah 46 soon. That’s me first time actually in Chester city center. I’m guessing that’s probably the town hall in it. But yeah, as I say, I finally in 300 yard. Wow, some [ __ ] amazing buildings. Yeah, bos. Now, if you’ve watched this long in the video, you will see Chester. Thank you. And that’s what I’ve come to see. Now that’s the landmark in it. So I’ll get here. So this was me um me landmark to get to that clock in Chester. And I’ve done it. So let me see. Up to now I’ve done 38.8 It’s 8 miles, which is good considering where I’ve been. So, now I’m going to ride to the train station and get the train home. I don’t even know how far it is to the train station from here, but we’ll see. So, yeah, I’m happy and I’m very proud of myself again just riding through all shops. Tell you what, it’s quite um big, is it? around here. Loads of shops. So, there’s the canal that I was meant to come down. It was blocked off. Anyway, I’m here, aren’t I? Uh, stations down here somewhere. Here we are. Chester train station straight ahead. But yeah, there we go. So, Chester Station, 39.4 miles in say 5 hours, which is good cuz I stopped off loads of times videoing, taking photos. So, believe it or not, I probably took an hour off if I never done that. But anyway, I’m happy with that ride. Uh, again, Chester, right? It’s not on to no one. But since I’ve started riding me bike, doing bike rides, it’s a place I’ve wanted to ride to. And not only did I ride to Chester from Liverpool, I went via West Kirby. I could have just went straight through Bin Head along the bypass um Brome and all that straight route to never. I went along the coast and I’m here.
