For starters, apologies if this isn’t the correct subreddit or if there are better ones out there for this kind of stuff but i couldn’t find any. The video explains just about all of it, brand new wheel came in yesterday and after putting it together makes a good bit of noise and doesnt feel smooth by any means whenever i ride it, thought maybe something wasnt greased properly (which could still be the case) so i greased the two entry point on both sides after pulling the coaster out a little and the noise/snappy feeling is still happening. Hopefully some freecoaster gurus can help me out a bit since i dont wanna immediately return it and wait another two weeks for a new one (even though i probably should) the wheel was bought off of sourcebmx

go to a bike shop my guy
‘Snapping’ sound when you stop pedalling is the clutch disengaging from the hub. I got this sound when it wasn’t greased properly because that causes the clutch to realliy bite into the hub and once it disengages, it does so forcefully and makes a loud clanking sound. That alone tells me not enough grease, which might also cause the rumbling sound when you spin the acle around. You said in the vid you greased the driver, should do the other side too. Hope this helps!
It really sounds like a bad bearing. Whether a bad bearing went in or it’s been jammed in too tight I don’t know. That sound is almost definitely bearing grind.
If you don’t chose to send it back (which I would) check any metal on metal sections. A coaster shouldn’t make this sound even with next to no grease.
Bearings!!!
Call source and explain the issue. If this is new they might suggest sending you a replacement.
It’s definitely the bearings maybe some moisture got in and now it needs new bearings. For your trip [this](https://youtu.be/K2_q1TV7Uvg?si=P0qkAr5-scNrYVxI) might be the quickest way to get it fixed. Maybe find out exactly what parts you’d need and call around some bike shops to see if they have them available. Sorry man that sucks
It sounds like a bearing issue to me
As said sounds like a bad bearing issues. I’d hit up the warranty as it shouldn’t come like that out of the box. Cinema has helped me out in the past with some parts for an fx2 the feeling you’re describing when pedaling sounds normal. The clutch has to wear in a bit and that’s why you hear a popping sound. All khe style coasters have that out the box.
