Just curious what kind of light setups you all use – or do some of you ride without any? Around here there are a lot of dark stretches with no street lights, so I feel like at least some kind of front and rear lights are a must.
Dude, dynamo hubs changed my life. I ride so much more in the winter than I used to and never have to worry about charge, where I put my lights… really keeps ya going in fall when darkness creeps in sooner than you expect and you’re caught out in it.
I also love knowing that I have a mega bright af taillight on at all times.

Knog Bolt or sometimes the Punisher one you have. I also use Monkey lights in the long winters. London road users are always unpredictable so being seen has saved my ass more than a few times. I may have to get a white helmet as Matt black won’t help

using no lights atm. almost never ride when it’s pitch black outside. although I would like some reckom – agree with OP lights should be a must riding at night

Upgrading to dynamos next but the knog are the best bang for my buck in the meantime

Knog Blinder 900 in the limit. purple edition and their cheapest backlight… The light is so bright, you can even blind car drivers 😂

Knog Big Cobbers front and rear. They don’t throw light particularly far, but they’re great for being seen and I rarely ride anywhere that doesn’t have street lights.

For the rear, a Bontrager flare rt on a gopro mount on the saddle rails.
For the front, a Bontrager ion 200 rt underneath k-edge wahoo mount. Its good enough for being seen but not bright enough to see when riding fast in the dark. I’m thinking of getting a brighter front light for that purpose.
My only complaint is dumb. I haven’t looked very hard but I’d like to find a mount that uses the saddle so it’s above my little flat kit bag. But it can clip on bag loops or whatever as it is so it’s fine.

[vmax150](https://www.niterider.com/products/vmax-%e2%84%a2-150-bike-taillight) 25hr run time on low which is bright as hell. USB c so I don’t have to find the cable every time.
