[Music] this is the lightest e-road bike in the world and the tech inside this thing is absolutely bonkers now this is the Endur race on fly the first e-road bike to break under the 10 kg marker and in its top spec it weighs just 9.86 kg making it the lightest in the world now I think this bike looks absolutely incredible and the best thing about it in my mind is that at first glance I don’t think anyone will even notice it’s an ebike thumbs up for that now I’m out here at Canyon’s HQ and I’ve just got my hands on this bike for the very first time so I want to tell you guys what it’s all about [Music] so the big party piece here is hidden and integrated into the core of the frame and it’s the TQ HPR40 brand new drive system and what this is able to do is provide up to 200 W of natural feeling assistance from a 290Wh battery which is said to be enough to give you up to 100 km of range and up to 2,000 m of climbing capability now if that somehow leaves you wanting more well there’s an additional 160Wh battery booster too now this latest drive system is said to be near silent in its operation and provide a smooth and natural feeling of assistance rather than having the feeling of the afterburners kicking in and when you do reach and exceed that 25 km an hour marker well you’re left with minimal resistance and a fast feeling bike helping to keep the weight of the carbon fiber frame down canyon using new technology here Neobeam tech and isog grid tech now if you don’t speak Bike Nerd essentially what this technology is allowing them to do is to save 300 g off the weight of the frame by reducing the wall thickness in the carbon fiber tubes while retaining its strength now keeping the frame as light as possible is key for the Onfly range of bikes and the Endure Race now sits alongside other bikes in that range you’ve got city bikes you got gravel bikes and you got mountain bikes all which sit underneath that onfly umbrella while this bike technically falls into the e-road bike category because you’ve got clearance for up to 35 mm tires either with or without Canyon’s fast fenders it also means you have the option to head off and explore some mild gravel paths too up front everything is super slick you’ve got this minimal switch and display and the bar end and then on models fitted with Shimano Altegra and Dura Ace you’re able to control the levels of assistance you get through the hidden lever buttons you’ve got integrated front and rear lights larger 180 mm rotors you’ve also got integrated GPS tracking and anti- theft motion sensing which can be linked up to the Canyon app talking of apps if stats are your thing you can also connect your bike to the TQ app which is going to give you access to loads of different settings and live metrics all of which can then be linked up to your bike head unit now this is the CF8 model and in the frosted white color it looks absolutely boss but there’s three other different models and build specs to choose from all of which utilize the same motor and battery technology now as a self-confessed bike nerd I love this kind of tech and cannot wait to be able to take this bike for a ride because last time Ollie and I rode ebikes well we had an absolute blast anyway I am keen to hear your thoughts on this so get involved in the comments section down below and let me know if an ebike which doesn’t look like an ebike and isn’t heavy like an ebike would convince you to give one a try and as always if you want to see more cool bikes and bike tech subscribe to GCN Tech

Dumb question: do these road e-bikes have a mandatory speed limiter?
I'd give it a try, but i wouldn't buy one!
there are enough use cases (besides commuting with it, which will be a thing). it doesnt need to be for you.
Everybody talking down on e-bike will eventually get on board. Personally, I think they're overpriced that's why I'm still sticking to analog. It still looks like a bicycle to me.
I need this bike urgently =) I hope it's possible to install a child's bike seat on it?
stop listen when he said 25 km/h limiter, go back to giant as they limit to 40 km/h
the perfect bike for people with those weird >300 ftp friends
Looks like a cheaterโs bike ๐
The only reason I can see to acquire an e-road bike is (e.g. for aging persons) to be able to keep up with a group of physically more fit riders. But the 25 km/h limitation eliminated this use caseโฆ
No stop making e bikes look like regular bikes because then people will assume Iโm just on an e bike when Iโm passing them on my fully mechanical aero bike ๐
This bike looks fantastic. Will the airlines allow this bike to fly?
Looks epic โค๐
I wish it had clearance for 40mm tires. Canyon needs a less โcapableโ gravel e-bike than the Grizl:on, or at least a Grizl:on with a rigid fork
Yes plz
I have never considered a e-bike… UNTIL NOW! that is my next bike for sure!
For the elderly, infirm, weak, or cheatersโwhich are you?
A review without the price
I'm an older heavier rider, this looks interesting, but so does the grail. I live in the mountains and the weather lines in the asphalt make it uncomfortable to ride. I need some shock or big tires.
Will it come to Canada?
Is this available to buy now and where can I buy it?
Is this a class 1 bike? If not I donโt recommend buying it. I think it is a class3 bike which in the Us is not allowed in many parks.
I bought the Gravel Canyon Grizl:on CF9 bike, and since I bought it 2months ago, I haven't been driving my car to work. I have a regular road bike, but I enjoy riding this ebike a lot more. It is a beast.
HPS Domestique is 8,5kg
ยฃ?
Limited to ~ 20 mph assist makes it very limited for a road bike.
Why isn't the bike for sale in the US? BTW you guys do a great job…
Nice bike but it pales in comparison to Scott's range of e-bikes. That's it , that's all.
Eu Gosto muito de bicicleta
Thumbs up to the wag who commented, โnice to see tech trickling down from the prosโ. Ooh, thatโs gotta burn!
I would definitely get one for my wife then we can ride together on my usual rides.
Pogaฤar like that .๐
Any idea when it comes to the US?
Nice looking bike and an upgrade in the EBike market as too many seem made for non cyclists. In short they're awful looking. I use an e- hybrid, as a lifelong cyclist, it keeps me riding despite age and infirmity.
I want this!
Can you provide us with the model of this bike? This is an electric bike right?
Price ?
Love their products and this is right up there. Looking forward to a ride
I am waiting for a bike that allows me to finish a 150km ride with 3k elevation or more in a shorter time. I don't want to spend endless hours on the bike. Maybe this will allow
Somehow this bike was stolen even before I finished watching the video.
