  1. Impossible to say more without knowing your background in cycling / rafting, or where you specially want to go.

In the pic it’s an older Brompton, well looked after, with some mods eg larger wheels on the rack.

Bromptons are commuter / paved trail bikes & don’t cope well off-road. I do take mine off-road but things break and fall off.

I don’t know where the pic is but it could be somewhere in the UK meaning civilisation and a nice pub is never more than a few miles away. (And pubs usually have paved roads or paths leading to them.) Possibly camping equipment is in the back of the canoe. Looks throughly nice.

If this is the kind of thing you are looking for, any Brompton or any cheap folding bike will do. You could rent a Brompton for a few days to see if you like them. Maybe rent the canoe too. (I’d want to put a folded tarp between the bike and the canoe to avoid punctures.)

If it goes in the drink, it’s an immediate full rebuild. Would recommend a waterproof container that can take a tumble without opening. Because it ain’t gonna float on its own, either.
