Who honks at a school bus? Also, would you pass the bus in this situation? I have before and it felt safe, but wrong. The following left turn is the sketchiest part of my ride so I don’t know if it’s worth it to get ahead of the ragers behind me.

It’s illegal to pass school buses when they have the red lights flashing, so no I would not do that, even if you’re less likely to harm a kid than if you were doing so in a car
That said, if for some reason the bus was stopped for an extended period of time with its red lights flashing for some reason, I guess you could actually *walk* your bike past it on the sidewalk, but that would probably normally be slower than waiting.
