Day 3 of our 810 mile ride from the English Channel at Caen (La Manche) to Toulon on the Mediterranean sea in summer 2025. Day 3 sees us leave Chinon and the Loure valley behind, heading across the plains of Haute Vienne near Poitiers in the direction of Limousin. Another scorcher of a day with beautiful blue skies, requiring plenty of cemetery stops for water. Finishing in Bessines-en-Gartemps after 114 miles. Mainly on quiet back lanes and gravel farm tracks but also picking up 21 miles of voie verte where Rich picked up a puncture and somehow lost his bag of Monster Munch!
