  1. I literally saw a tow truck make a U-turn in front of me *into the bike lane* yesterday…just so he could drive fifty more feet to Home Depot.

    Some people’s children.😑

  2. >We need bigger bike lanes!

    we need more bike lanes.

we need better designed bike lanes.

most of the bike lanes were designed for recreational cyclists, not for commuters or local delivery bikes.

  3. “If our goal is to reduce car dependency, cut emissions, and create more equitable access to public space, then bike lanes could and may be should evolve into mobility lanes — built not just for cyclists, but for everyone using low-speed.”

    This sums up my thinking.

Bike lanes are used for everything including jogging track, overflow driving and extra convenience car parking.

The change we need are 3ft high jersey barriers and narrow entrances at intersections and driveways.

  5. I’ve run into this while biking in Amsterdam where the bike lanes are essentially bike highways. You get the same shit there with mopeds/ebikes, etc. They just developed a system to deal with them.
