Journée décisive pour la victoire finale sur le Tour du Danemark ! Ce mercredi, la 3e étape de l’épreuve danoise proposait un contre-la-montre plat de 14,3 km autour de Kerteminde, et les meilleurs spécialistes de l’effort solitaire en ont sans surprise profité pour se jouer la gagne sur ce tracé favorisant les coureurs puissants. Et c’est finalement Jakob Söderqvist qui s’est montré le plus rapide en réalisant un temps de 15 minutes et 28 secondes ! Membre de la réserve Lidl-Trek mais présent au Danemark avec la WorldTeam, le double champion de Suède de la discipline a pris les commandes et ne les a plus lâchées jusqu’à l’ultime passage du leader de la course Mads Pedersen. A égalité avec son jeune coéquipier à l’intermédiaire, le champion du Danemark du chrono a finalement un peu craqué dans le final pour terminé en 3e position, à 14 secondes. Le Belge Alec Segaert (Lotto) s’est intercalé entre les deux, à 5 secondes du vainqueur.

Got 23 seconds to get to the line. I think he’s going to do this one. Alex Cigar finally going to replace Johan Price Peterson. And the Belgian rider with a lot of squad is going to break the beam fully 13 well just under 13 seconds faster than Johan Price Peterson. So he held it through the second half of the time trial. And now we even get to the hot seat before the arrival of Alex Sudlist. He’s looked incredibly fast through the first part, but he’s well got quite a low cadence. He’s hauling some watts there. Is he managing to make the progress across the t the tarmac that he needs to in order to unseat our new fastest man, Alex Seagart? Sutterfist fighting to try and stay in control of his effort here. And remember, he was quicker than Cigar through that intermediate point. And he’s got a bag of time, I think, to get here through the final 100 meters. Could be nip and tuck here. Alex Scooterfist brings it to the line and is certainly going to go fastest. So, we’ve had a really quick alteration to the top of the time sheets as Yakob Surfist replaces Alex Cigart. And in turn, Yon Price Person having led just about a minute ago, is now back into third place.
