Meanwhile, Jacob Sudakfist is the fastest man in this time trial to the intermediate point. That was a further illustration, Matt, wasn’t it? Saon Crow’s time. He just sort of ebed away a little bit in the second half. Yeah, again, he was really fighting to get home there and uh driving the bike towards the line, just hoping to see that finish line. So went through the intermediate check fastest at that point uh but then crossed the line in uh in fourth place and uh and losing time over the course lost 11 seconds there on Price Prison over the course of the last part of the time trial. So be interesting to see he lost 11 seconds there. Now we’re with uh the riders that have gone through they uh they’ve given themselves a nice advantage. So even if they do suffer a little bit more in the in the headwind, as long as they’ve paced it right, then they can have a chance here to uh unseat the Dane that’s current fastest. It’s the speed that would be uh would like to do it. Second of the World Championships 23 level in 2024. Second also at uh European level in that particular event. That’s where Schmidt the race the latest to try and challenge the intermediate time. But Sudwist is quite some considerable margin ahead. That’s where Schmidt two time stage winner in this event. Doesn’t look like he’s going to make it three today. Popular figure in this part of the world. It’s away for his helicopter. And there’s Full Digger from the Danish national team. 24 year old starting the day, 19th overall at 48 seconds. Part of a large group of riders indeed that uh concluded day one at 48 seconds and that remains the margin for many of them. margin of deficit in the non- general classification. Sigart looking good out there, albeit slightly slower to the intermediate point than Sudterfist who’s who’s behind him on the road, but faster as things currently stand. Sigart off to the bar and Victoria squad next year. He’s uh signed a three-year deal with moves away from the lotto team and up into full world tour status. Slightly higher cadence. There are different parts of the course of course. I mean it’s it I would say it’s absolutely pan flat. There are a few sections of like sort of one maybe 2%. So the riders will notice but we can barely notice on screen. That looks like it might be a bit of a mountain there but I think you know it’s it’s it’s we’re absolutely pretty much as flat as you’re going to get. these uh pretty quick time drives. Yeah, I mean they’re they’re kind of kickers that we see and and this one that we see uh the the riders just kind of going up at the moment is is around 250 m at 3%. Then over the top of that, it carries on for around 500 m at around 1%. So they’re not climbs that we would normally reference, but when you’re in a time trial, you’re in that position, you’re pushing high watts, then uh yeah, it’s going to come back and bite you. Yeah, they’ll probably have had to go and change gear and move up the block a little bit, but they’re not mountains in the established sense. Carl Frederick Bevort is the latest representative of the Inox Mobility Squad to see what he can achieve. His teammate Solomon Valent remains second fastest of the day by five seconds from Yan Price Peterson. Mattius Eskeosa is currently third on the time sheets at 6 seconds. Slow his teammates lift track teammates at um at 8 seconds, fourth fastest. Axel Vanderuk, we didn’t see him. Here’s Gala Scotty rider did a pretty good job. The Dutchman with the the Basque team fifth fastest and Van Halan Vincent Van Halan 17 seconds down. Sixth fastest for team Flanders Bows. Couple of riders we didn’t actually see. Arthur Blaze has dropped back to seventh. Julius Johansson eighth at the moment. Enzel Lancer in the top 10 in ninth and Marvel Lucas top mark 10th at the moment but probably feeling vulnerable about that. Some quick times about to come in. First of them coming from Alex Cigar. Yeah, he’s uh approaching that one case to go barrier now from uh what I can see on the on the screen. So um he’s going to be uh in the money lane. In fact, he’s he’s already gone through 1k to go there. He’s uh he’s on the final approach here. Alex Card looking to challenge the time of Yon Price Peterson. 15 minutes and 54 sec uh 46 seconds. Round it up. Got 23 seconds to get to the line. I think he’s going to do this one. Alex Cigar finally going to replace Johan Price Peterson. And the Belgian rider with a lot of squad is going to break the beam. fully 13 well just under 13 seconds faster than Johan Price Peterson. So he held it through the second half of the time trial and now will even get to the hot seat before the arrival of Alex Sudterist. He’s looked incredibly fast through the first part, but he’s uh well got quite a low cadence. He’s hauling some watts there. Is he managing to make the progress across the t the tarmac that he needs to in order to unseat our new fastest man Alex Seagart Sudterfist fighting to try and stay in control of his effort here and remember he was quicker than Cigar through that intermediate point and he’s got a bag of time I think to get here through the final 100 meters could be nip and tuck here Alex Scooterfist brings brings it to the line and is certainly going to go fastest. So, we’ve had a really quick alteration to the top of the time sheets as Yakob Surikfist replaces Alex Cigart and in turn Yan Price Peterson having led just about a minute ago is now back into third place.
