Used Rapha bibs for $40 including shipping off ebay.

Shirt – goodwill, $5? Quick drying and comfy.

Shoes- goodwill, 10$. I find vans have good grip and haven't felt the need to buy biking shoes yet.

Do i look as fresh? No. Do I ride as fast as I could? Nope. Do I have fun? Yes 🙂

do not take this as hate. Just a reminder we don't have to go broke to bike. And it doesn't have to be as expensive as we make it

  1. While I agree with you, this sub is focused on fashion and not anti fashion. Post was probably better suited for r/cycling or similar.

I respect you so much for your statement, I think that a good part of the road cycling community is very hateful to people who don’t aren’t fully kitted out with a carbon aero bike or some shit. From my experience I got shamed for posting a question asking what is worth upgrading in my road bike (which is a lower of the line bike for today’s standards) and basically from understanding what the guy said I should quit the sport if I can’t afford anything better (have in mind I am underage and been saving up for my bike for some time).
Edit: sorry for my English, I ain’t native

  3. Since I smelled my own used bibs for the first time I could never lmao. Good on you for making it work and giving it another life!

  4. Used bibs are worse than someone else’s used underwear. That’s a hard no for me.

  5. Vinted is gold for this, new with tags or new without tags at less than half the price of the brand new!
I’ve all my Rapha from there

Used bibs = worse than used boxer shorts 🤢🤮.

Just buy a well regarded Chinese brand.
