Found this crack. Contacted the bike shop that sold it to me to do a Warranty Claim. Will take a few days to hear something. Is it safe to ride in the meantime?

That is just a plastic cover on the chainring. SRAM Warranty will handle it. You should be perfectly fine to ride in the mean time.
No, but that thing is worn to a nub. It shouldn’t necessarily crack, but you used it up and then some. Learn about drivetrain wear before you get a new ring.
Had exactly the same with my Force chainring cover. Warranty got it covered. But the one I got also had cracks 😂
