Tubed or tubeless? Are the beads on both wheels at a uniform height all the way around the wheel? Did you hear the bead snap when inflating the rear tire? How much air pressure in each?

It’s probably not seated all the way in the front

It’s going to likely bounce. My front tire is currently doing that and it annoys the heck out of me, but I have a week to wait for a tubeless kit.

Below the tan strip on the front tire, you can see a shiny edge sticking out of the tire, which is absent on the back tire. When I inflated the front tire for the first time, I could hear the tire popping several times, which I assumed were the beads snapping in place of the rim, which also didn’t happen on the back tire.
Front and back should both be the same sizes and tire models. I don’t see any bumps or uneven spots along either of the tires.

the back tyre hasnt seated yet, need to pump it more
you can see on the front tyre you have the inner ridge by the rim, you shoudl see that the whole way round

It’s more likely that the rear tire just hasn’t properly popped to the rim yet.
Often it’s necessary to over-inflate the tire.

if it will hold pressure, just take it for a ride around the block inflated to relatively high pressure (slightly below limits, but above recomended) and it will seat itself.

If the rear tire is evenly seated all around the rim, and you already tried inflating it close to the maximum pressure, then most likely it is fine.
I suspect the rear tire does not sit any deeper, but the black rubber surface just does not extend as far from the tire bead. Maybe there’s something in the manufacturing process that does not give a very consistent result.

Let the air out of the tires and make sure the tire is not pinching the tube. I knead the tire back and forth to make sure the tire is not seated on the tube or the tube is between the tire and rim. Then add air and check to see if the tire is properly seated in the rim.

As long as it is deeper on the drive side of the bike you’re
good.

Applying soap to the beads and over inflating the tire did the trick for me! Though I gotta admit, hearing those popping sounds while continuously pumping air into the tire was not the most pleasant of experiences haha
