Hey fellow gravelers.
After two and a half years I want to replace my standard Fulcrum Rapid Red 9000 Wheels. The front wheel has a tiny bend on the outer edge and isn't able to get driven tubeless.
I found some other fulcrums I'm considering to buy but at first I want to see if there are more /better options.
I want
Alloy wheels maybe around 1600-1750g
Max 600 euro
I need a N3W Hub.
I know there are cheaper and reliable carbon wheels but I'm not a racer. I'm using this bike for touring, bike packing and commuting.
Looking forward to your suggestions

DT Swiss GR 1600 maybe
Ive been pretty happy with my hunt wheels for a while now
Carbon wheels aren’t (just) for racing. If you had carbon rims, you’d be out riding insead of sidelined by a bent rim
Would say DT Swiss GR1600 or if you’d like a bit more endurance the ER1600. I have the ERs and ride rough gravel with roots and such and never been a prob. Also they have a bit of rim depth if the aero thing is important in any way to you. But both come with DT 350 hubs which are absolutely rock solid and used by many OEMs including Rovals (specialized) for their carbon wheels.
I’ve had great luck with my Boyd CCC rims, pretty much 0 issues with thousands of miles on them

I did the upgrade to carbon and it was probably the best thing I did in terms of upgrades. Since you‘re in Germany, check out https://www.carl-z.de/produkt/z36-aktion-traveller/
I have this exact wheelset and I‘m really happy with it. Accelerating and climbing is definitely easier than with alloy.
It‘s a bikepacking specific wheelset with 24/28 spokes. However, the shop doesn‘t have the best reputation so be prepared to wait a little longer and only order if you‘re fine with calling the owner once in a while to check your order status.
Í have GR1600 set and they’ve been great, very solid and easy to service if needed. You might have to buy the N3W freewheel separately – installation takes 10 seconds, they are around 60e and you can then sell the original freewheel for a bit if you wish.

I dare you to find a better deal than this.
Love my Leeze AH35 so far. They offer adapters for N3W too
You may not need new wheels just new rims alloy or carbon, if you are ok with your current hubs
I would just find some cheap used ones online. People will give aluminum ones away for almost free when they move to carbon.
