[Music] Good morning. Here I am in London. I made it. And I’m having a cup of Earl Grey because there’s no coffee in the room because I’m in England. There’s tea and milk. It’s a nice change actually. Unfortunately, I have to have seven cups of Earl Gray because there’s no coffee. My system just doesn’t respond unless it like gets a good punch in the morning. So, it was a pretty uneventful trip here. Uh really nice. I didn’t do any filming except in the Tampa airport. I made a wonderful mistake of discovering a bag of uh Australian licorice in the airport in Tampa. And I thought it would be a really good idea to like just kill the entire bag while sitting on the tarmac basically at Tampa. That made for a really comfortable ride all the way to uh to London. Yeah. Yeah. Uh it’s interesting that there are things in life you just refuse to learn. And uh it’s good. You get to keep relearning them over and over again. like don’t eat an entire bag of licorice right when you’re about to get on a plane because that that could mess you up a little bit and uh not be incredibly comfortable. Uh but anyway, I’m here. I got this room. Great deal on this room. I’m in downtown basically uh London. It was it was the price was amazing. I reserved this room like 6 or 8 months ago and uh I was like, man, the price is dynamite. And then I get in the room and it’s literally like 200 square feet or less and and I have to assemble my bike in it. At first I was like, “Oh man.” Luckily, they took my hard case from me and stashed it. But it was a a little tight setup, but I did get it all together last night. And this morning in a few minutes, as soon as I finish another six cups of Rogue Gray, I’m going to head out and explore the town a bit. And I’ll take you with me. And uh and then I also gonna go find the starting line, which is really just three minutes from here. Look, I had to give up on the Earl Gray. Okay. So, what I put in my drop bags, I told you already I’m going to have about my fueling, but I’m putting a kit. So, that’s like bibs, um a jersey, and a pair of socks. That’s basic stuff. But then I’m also putting like a long john top and a long john bottom and a pair of underwear. And that’s it. So that I can be I can change into some like kind of fresh cozy clothes to take a nap in. So I have fresh socks, fresh long john. You know, these are all like compact long johns. They’re not like thick or anything. And then uh just, you know, something keep me warm. Uh take a nap and be comfortable in fresh, clean clothes. Uh, but also the drop bags are very small, so you can’t really put too much stuff in there. And plus, I don’t want a bunch of stuff. I just want my fuel and enough to like change into a clean clothes and take a little nap. So, I’m out and about in London. So pretty here this morning. It’s like no wind. It’s cloudless. It’s nice cruising around, but the one thing I’m trying to do is not get killed. And I know that sounds weird, but I’m so accustomed to looking to the left when I pull out on the road and the famous, you know, rolling stop of the cyclist. You know, you glance to the left and you roll through a stop sign and cars are coming from the right. So, I am really going to have to be diligent not to uh get slammed by a car. All right, so on the train to Chelmsford. I’ve been running into cyclists the whole time. It’s been great. like starting to feel all the energy. Everybody getting ready to roll. Wittam, Calvan, Marx, Tay, Cultista, Manning Tree, and Ipsswitch. All right, so here I am at Guild Hall Yard. This is the start for the morning and uh just checking out the spot. Ran into another rider. Had a really nice chat with him. Uh he’s going to be heading up also to Chumsford to check in. But yeah, this is a it’s very calm right now for London. It’s I would say not that I know London very well, but I’m just imagining. But this is pretty pretty cool. Marcus. Hi. Now we got to find the uh Riddle University College School. So, here we are in the eating area in the little cafeteria beforehand for check-in. Not a lot of people in here right now, but I have a feeling at the end of this run, it’s going to be pretty packed with hungry, exhausted riders. Hello. Hello. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Yeah, sure. [Music] Okay, nice job. That was great. Thank you. Have a fine trip. Be carefully. Enjoy it, and come back safe. Thank you so much. It’s so fun. and it’s just like so full of energy and, you know, I I was feeling maybe even slightly lukewarm uh when I was, you know, in the leadup to the event, but now that I’m here, it’s like so energized and seeing all the bikes and everyone’s so chill and cool. Uh it’s really fun to be part of this. [Music]
