I'm looking for a cruiser with a lower seat height. I like the style a lot, but the Kent Del Rio at 5'9" feels very tall.

My tippy toes can barely touch the ground when stationary. I don't like having to lean or hop off the seat every time I stop. I'd like to be able to sit comfortably when stationary.

My seat can't go any lower, considered tossing on 24" wheels with shorter cranks, and chopping the frame down a couple inches where the seat inserts so i can lower it more.

  1. I’d recommend the Electra Cruiser 1 if you’re cool with a coaster brake. The 26″ wheel one fits down to 5’3″ so I’m sure you could flat foot it. There’s also a 24″ version. If you want front and rear brakes look at the Cruiser 7D.

If your saddle is low enough that you can touch the ground when riding, it’s too low, and all you’re doing is fucking your knees up.

When braking, just slide slowly forward off the saddle as you come to a stop.

Any step through cruiser will fit. In the “olden days” they were called ladies/girls frames.
