Which hybrid bike is best for a beginner?

I’m choosing between two second-hand hybrids for commuting and fitness rides that I saw on Facebook Marketplace. I’m getting back into cycling as a hobby and for commuting, and I’m not sure which one to go for.

One is a Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 2020, and the other looks Whyte Shoreditch 2017 I think based on what I found online.
