🚴‍♂️ Cycling & Camping at The Anchor Inn – A Canal-Side Escape! 🏕️🍻 🚴‍♂️

What’s better than a bikepacked adventure? One that ends at a historic canal-side pub! 🍺😆 We pedaled our way from The Anchor Inn, High Bridge, a hidden gem on the Shropshire Union Canal, setting up camp for a night under the stars in my van. 🌙

hello you join me in a van I’m going on a little bit of a adventure on with Billy Bob I’m going to a place called yankin which is in High offi um it’s just a canalside pub and beer garden with a um campsite on it I just want to try the van out uh after doing a few little alterations to various things since coming back from Wales um going to have to stop to get some food on the way I’ve got no food at all with me um the weather is not particularly on my side at the minute it’s uh a bit bit blury but yeah right I’m going to get on the road and I’ll probably see you at the site we’re on the site it’s got quite warm now so I’ve got all my uh all my wind covers on got my siding wind sliding window open and a little fan going got the bike outside ready to uh ready to rock and roll I think I might go and whiz out on that first I think and for today’s windy lunch we have tray of cat food [Music] it’s not bad here literally just side of this hedge is a canal toe paath [Music] a heron if you can see that just the other side of the water there slim a bit [Music] right so much uh I think it’s Highbridge they call it so really weird weird weird weird construction it’s like a bridge in a bridge and there’s some form of telegraph cabling going through it as well love bits of History like that we can see where the uh ropes from the horses have been uh wearing away at the edges fascinating [Music]

  1. We were at the Anchor Inn (via boat) a couple of weeks ago. Only open Fri – Sun 7-11, but what a pub! More like your front room with hand pulled Wadworths 6X and 'brilliant' locals!
