So I don't know anything about bikes, or anything about fixing stuff. But my bike seat fell off months ago and I just realised. Any diagnostic/suggestions would be appreciated! I am able to take it to the shop, but I wanna see if I can fix it myself, and I have a lot of repair tools to my disposal. 🙂

Ignore the bike in the back lol

i see a clamp, a nut, and a bolt. its hard for me to believe you can’t figure this one out.

  2. Good news, you don’t have to fix that one. Bad news, you have to buy a new one.

The silver ridges we see in the first picture are flattened out because the bolt was loose and it was ridden. The ridges ground against each other and stripped each other out. You can put it back together and crank that bad boy down but it will slip, and the bolt will get loose again, and then it will slip more.

It actually looks like you’re missing the part that sits between the post and the bottom of the seat rails.
