Have had these for about a year and what looks like cracking has started. This didn’t look like this a week ago, and I have them all over my front tire now and it won’t hold pressure (around 30-35 psi depending on ride type). The second picture is my rear and looks normal and is performing as it should.
I’m replacing it because a tire is cheaper than a hospital visit. Anyone have experience with panaracer warranty, or am I worrying too much about this?

Don’t buy tanwalls on a gravel bike, they are thinner and more suceptible to failures like this.
Even if it was the same material and thickness as on the bottom of the tire (it isn’t), simply not being black means it will be more likely to weaken under UV light.
There is a reason why tires on everything from mopeds to cars to cybertrucks to Bradley UAVs to Cervelos are black and it isn’t because it’s the coolest- its the most practical.
