First ever build from scratch (started with just the frame, no fork and nothing else) and first gravelbike I ever owned)
Meant to take it for a short spin and ended up riding for almost three hours around my hometown. This thing is an absolute BEAST. Anything i threw at it, it could handle. From fast riding on roads to off-road riding on single trail, sand and meadows.
If I had to change one thing it would be my choice of tires. The current ones don’t support a tubeless setup and eventually I will want to switch to that.
For those who want specs:
– 8bar TFLSBERG frame (built for bike packing, rather upright seating position, tons of mounts, reinforced tubing and a bent seat-stay that keeps bags away from my feet and offers a slight bit of spring)
-Just-Bikes Steel bike packing fork
-Cane Creek Headset
Shimano Ultegra BB
-Shimano Cues U6040 Groupset (42 front, 11-50 rear)
– Ritchey Comp Beacon XL handlebar (manufacturer says they measure in at 50cm, but since they are massively flared they feel much narrower on the hoods and much wider on the drops)
-DT Swiss G540db hoops
-shutter precision PL-7 dynamo hub and shimano GRX rear hub
– Sapim E-Light reinforced spokes and nipples (first time I ever Built wheels and it went flawlessly)
-Brooks B17 carved saddle
-Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB 27,5” tires
-stem and seat post are noname parts off an old bike I got rid of
Stay safe and have fun everyone
