Hi, ive done a search on adjusting brakes for my Carrera Vulcan, but brakes I see in guides are different to mine (They seem to have an adjustment screw). I'm looking to adjust the brake lever (its very close to the handle bar) and the pads (I assume), as the lever doesnt actuate the brakes at all. I assumed I need to adjust the threaded cover holding the wire but they both started to round, so I stopped.
Ive attached images. Any guidance is appreciated (not done bike maintenance before). Thanks

Okay so these are hydraulic brakes. Those things you were trying to adjust were hose fittings. They don’t adjust anything, they just need to be tight. Don’t touch them
If I’m looking right, your lever reach adjustment point is the little silver screw sticking out just inside the lever in the first picture. You should be able to stick an Allen wrench in the end of that and turn it clockwise to move the lever away from the bar.
