I'm planning a few days of biking in the UK mid-September, and this loop looks great!
For those knowing the area, do you concur that it's a nice route, and would you advise against doing it with 35mm tyres? It seems fine to me, but I have a tendency to be over-optimistic 🙂

It’s a great route I live in Forest of Dean and pedalled nearly every km of that route. Just check that the Wye valley green way tunnel is open. They shut it for bat season 🦇
