In dirt oval karting when we pass someone on the inside we slow wayyy down to confuse the guy on the outside and that gives the person behind me to get on my rear bumper so the person on the outside goes behind both of us and we get a better exit off the corner if you want to see an example my yt channel for karting is @bowsher racing
A golden rule is this. The more you gain in the corner the less you need to gain full gas. What then does that mean? Means you want to slow down much so you can accelerate at soonest pt possible in a corner.

The red line could go for a more V shape approach and will be faster on exit.
