I wanted a commuter bike with a belt drive to save on maintenance and cleaning. Knowing nothing about the brand at the time, searching 'belt drive Brompton' led me very quickly to Kinetics, which just so happens to be right here in Glasgow. Absolutely no regrets on the modification, it's flawless.
The G Line in general is a little sluggish, but I didn't buy it to go fast. I bought it to take a beating day after day, in all weathers, then throw in the cupboard without a second thought. For that I have total confidence in it.
I may switch out the tyres until the winter, has anyone found it to be a little quicker with narrower 'urban' tyres?
