2yo (3 in November) got riding her pedal bike today for the first time.
She’s had a Stryder for a bit, and has been doing great on it lately. She also has a Shotgun seat that I think helped her learn to balance on a bike.
Picked up a Prevelo Alpha One with freewheel kit a few days ago, took the pedals and the front brake off, and just had her use it as a balance bike + brake to learn.
Put pedals back on today. Her 2nd time on the prevelo, and first time pedaling. Very proud dad.
We had to do the “lift the rear wheel up and show her which direction to pedal” thing, but she caught on real quick.
Too bad winter is coming. 🙁
