I have a raleigh clubman, with a 3 speed Sturmey-Archer gearset/hub. It has a chromoly frame, and the original brooks leather saddle seat. It has Bluemel fenders and drop handlebars.
I would like to restore the bike. I would sandblast and powdercoat the frame, scan the decals and have them reprinted.
Can I replace the original hub/wheels with something more modern? Are there any options out there? the cables are external so it looks like it would be easy, but since I dont know really much of anything about bicycles, this would be a labor of love. I am interested in what options might work for this set up, knowing I may only really have the frame to work with, and might have to replace everything else.
