I recently acquired this thing from an estate. It's previous owner was apparently an avid rider. I remember always having the Performance catalog on hand as a teenager so this caught my eye.
I believe the bike came built with full Suntour Superbe Pro. It has the original Superbe brake calipers and levers, down tube shifters, front derailleur, and rear wheel/hub; it then has a Thompson Elite seatpost, Sella Italia SL sadde, a super-tall and shallow SR stem that says "stainless", a Specialized front wheel (27 inch tubular), a Deore XT rear derailleur, Shimano freewheel, Dura Ace 7400 cranks with a Salsa small ring, and a UN52 bottom bracket
So, I figure if it had all it's Superbe stuff someone else would have snatched it up before me anyway. I'll be able to use the Deore derailleur, the saddle, maybe the bottom bracket, sell the rest, but what to do with this frame?
