Okay, we’re in Romy in front of the Romy roads. Romy Rose and we’re riding to Salsbury tonight. And uh we’re supposed to be staying in this beautiful pub next to the river, but we’ll see what it’s like when we get there. And uh we got about 30ks to ride, but it’s all uphill. Not not steep hill, but it is hill all the way. It’s a general up climb for the whole 30 km. And uh we caught the train here from Southampton, which was not busy at all. Okay. So anyway, it’s a beautiful day again. I’m getting used to England and beautiful days. And this is the National Cycle Network Route 24 largely that we’re following today. [Music] We’ve ridden from Romsey to here and we’ve reached a bit of a a nogo. So, the train uh booms are down and obviously there’s a there’s an audible signal as well. And the sign saying crossing cost 1,000 if you do it while the boom gates are down. But supposedly the boom gates have been down for an hour now and several trains. So, we’re just going to have to wait it out. It’s broken. All the cars are kind of turning around, but there’s a few trucks that can’t turn around. So, they’re all sort of stuck. And we’re stuck because, you know, what options do we have? We got stuck, but there’s a walkway across the railway line down here, so we just rode around the stuck bit. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Oh my gosh. Sad we don’t have the tout terrains now. [Music] [Music] At this point, we have absolutely no idea where we are. How cool is this? Oh, no. You take My mouth break my sins. I can’t breathe or shout. Oh he [Music] don’t know what to say. I don’t know where to start. We’re passing lots of really really cute thatched houses like this. [Music] I’m over here. [Music] [Music] That’s our hotel down There you can see the little pants. Very cute. See? This is the bug cathedral. It’s one of the attractions here. [Music] [Music] Good morning. The fat man’s finishing breakfast at Weather Spoons here in Sailsbury. We are riding from Sales Sailsbury to Froom today. It’s about 50ks and it’s a lovely day so far. We’re leaving quite late but hopefully uh we’ll reach there in good time. We’ll take you with us. [Music] Amazing. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay, we had a late start today, mainly because of the Kraken, not nothing to do with me. And we’ve been riding, I don’t know, we’ve come a few kilometers. We’ve come across Wilston House, which looks really beautiful, grand. And uh, you know, we’re against the wind today. I think that’s the biggest thing. And we’re uphill all day. And we’re only a short day, 50 km. And the Kraken is like wincing as I say that. But you know, it’s lovely and it’s cool today. Yesterday it was like boiling hot. Yeah. And today it’s cool. It’s a lot better riding weather. And I’m in a very good humor. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] There’s my bike. There’s Charlie. And we are in WY. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] This is the Archangel, look at the door. Coming through here, there is a bathtub, which is epic. And then there’s a little table. And that’s the bedroom. And if I come back here, that’s the bathroom. Yeah. And we’re right up in the ceiling in the Archangel Pub. It’s pretty cool. I’ve never seen a bathtub like that before in real life. I’ll be using it. Ding ding. So this street comes from the 17th century. A street [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Good morning. We are about to leave Froom, which I originally thought was called Fro, but apparently it’s Froom. Uh, as you can hear behind me, the folks at the pub we stayed at, which is the Archangel, are replenishing their supplies. Froom is a quite a vibrant little town. Uh, it’s got a lot going on. There’s a lot of community activities. Uh, Charlie accidentally fell into a exercise and trivia event at the library yesterday because he just sat down in the wrong place. So, that gives you a bit of an example. Um there’s lots of like cycling sort of shops and community, you know, here. Uh there’s uh good food. That’s probably something. And the architecture is really cool, too. It’s cinem are only £4. The fat man doesn’t feel like talking this morning. And yeah, so overall, if you have an opportunity to go to Fre, I really recommend it. It’s a really cool little place. Next time we’ll take you from Gillingham down the North Dorset Trailway.
