Just found a good deal on a brand new all black Brompton C Line 6 speed. So far I'm happy with the bike, but the seat post is slipping quite a bit. I read that it’s a not a great idea to tighten it, so I’m going to try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol before my next ride to see if that helps. Any other suggestions? Also, I’m looking for a better way to mount my Garmin computer if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks!

Welcome to the club OP you’re doing everything right with the seatpost if it’s still slipping may need a shop visit.
Just tighten the nut, not too tight, but so that the clamp firmly closes.
