Creux du Van – 10. Etappe Jura Höhenweg

Der Jura Höhenweg führt vom Zürcher Unterland über die Jurakette bis zum Genfersee. Die 10. Etappe geht von Noiraigue über den Creux-du-Van nach Les Rochats und ist eine eher kurze Etappe. Die Schwierigkeit ist eine eher einfache T2.

Good morning from Noiraigue. Today I hike the next stage of the Jura high trail over the Creux du Van. It is quite a short stage with about 15km. Enjoy the video. Now I arrived at Creux du Van after 650 meters of altitude, almost 5km and a good 1.5 hours. This is a very beautiful and special place. This is my first time here. Now I hike all the way up to the crater and then on. The hike is a T2. Strict is mainly the ascent, the rest is then more leisurely. At the end of the stage there is a bus stop marked on the map, but there is no bus anymore. The bus stop no longer exists. But a few kilometers later you come to La Combaz There is a bus there three times a day in the summer between mid-May and mid-September on weekends. Alternatively, you can hike down to Mauborget, which is another 3km or so extra. From there there is a frequent bus all year round to Yverdon-Les-Bains, where you can take the train back. The hike takes a good 5 hours with a good 900 vertical meters up and about 400 vertical meters down.
