I have this big cargo bike i got it second hand and recently i had a litle accident: the fork failed and the wheel snaped of ( luckily it happend on the driveway and no one was hurt) on closer inspection is saw that the fork was not original and to make the thicker than usual axle fit int the dropout the previous owner must have filed some of the magnesium away so much that it failed. Im now looking for a replacement and thats what i found:
But im worried this fork wont be strong enough because the bike is realy quite heavy. What do you think? Or do you have other suggestions for a new fork? Thanks for the help 😉
Ps. surly forks where allready recomended to me but could not find a seller who ships to germany for a reasonable price

Forks aren’t designed to be pulled, they are designed to be pushed. You’ll likely see deformation of a drop out of any brand due to motor torque.
Are those wheels really 28″?
Have you tried searching for cargo and/or tandem forks?
Sjscycles.co.uk [sell replacement forks for tandems,](https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/thorn-tandem-replacement-forks/?sort=594) which are more robust than all but the toughest forks for singles. Only for 26″ wheels though.
don’t forget you need to match wheel size, steerer diameter and match or exceed steerer length.Â
