I'll be starting in DC, following the river to Harpers Ferry, then continuing SW on the TransVA route to Damascus, eventually ending my trip in Greenville.
I have a little bit of wiggle room with my trip but right now I'm looking at starting in the last week of September and taking 7-8 days. My main concerns are rain and cold – it looks like I should get at least one rain day during my trip and overnights in the mid 40s… Does that sound about right? I can deal with a little cold but I'm trying to decide if I should prepare for overnight frosts or even snow when I'm in the hills.
