Somehow have managed to ride for over a year in a busy downtown area and never had a flat. Thankfully, this thumbtack found me on the last 1/2-mile of a 15-mile ride and I was able to limp it home.
Time to fire up the Park Tool YouTube channel and have that nice fellow in the coveralls teach me how to fix it. LOL

(Advice request: would a self-sealing tube like a Slime brand tube have prevented this? A liquid sealant? Any benefit to those before I buy a replacement?)

Almost anything could fix a tiny hole like that but stuff like this is why I run tubeless with sealant I get all sorts of road stuff in my tires like those little wires that come out of people’s shredded car tires.
My guess: Add sealant to a tire.
