  1. Run a tap through from the unmosleted side. Id that does not fix it, then replace the crank arm.

If it’s the left side, shouldn’t be too bad to just replace the arm. You’ll need a new crank arm and likely a crank extractor tool.

Screw the pedal in through the other end to try and re-tap the damaged thread. There is enough good thread left to install and hold the pedal.

There might be enough threads left for the Loctite to do its thing (jokes – unless you are prepared to sacrifice the pedal along with the crank arm).

  5. There are helicoil thread repair kits. Basically you tap it out to a slightly larger size and use an insert.

The inserts are pretty cheap, but if you are only planning to do one the crank might be cheaper than the tools required.

The best answer is to have it helicoiled. You can look them up on McMaster-Carr, MSC, Zoro. Amazon has them too but buy at your own risk!

Crank saver at local bike shop. Don’t try to do it yourself. You stripped half the threads lol

At that point, I would’ve just continued until the fucker was all the way in.
