I have a 2019 Lapierre spicy 3.0 and it has pretty bad pedal kickback and a really funky chain guid mount I decided to take the jockey wheel from a single speed tensioner and found out that it bolts right on the the chain guard threads. It looks like it overlaps but it has just enough clearance for no rubbing or noise/resistance when spinning. I’ve tested it and it actually worked and reduced kickback when dropped from the same height. I haven’t really tested it because I’m a bit skeptical. Keep in mind I’m not planning to use this bike to ever climb or have any sort of pedal efficiency. Here’s a pic
