Don’t know how it happened, but noticed the paintjob on my Canyon SpectralON is damaged this morning. Carbon underneath is showing. Is this bad? Anything I can do about it?
You could ask canyon for a pot of touch up paint then invest in some bike wrap. That’s purely cosmetic damage tbh and she’ll still ride fine for years

appears to just be paint, but you can do the coin test (gently tap). If it sounds really dull or flat, it might be more serious.
I unforutnately have damage like on that on my bike from a recent shuttle trip to East Bluff in Copper Harbor…someones brake lever or something must have been rubbing my bike on the very rough ride to the top.

Just a paint chip, it should be fine. Carbon frames abrade super bad and any rub points should have at least clear tape over them. Bottom bracket area should have something like an adhesive rubber patch if you’re mountain biking.
