Good times on the Gear Hub Gran Fondo! With 22 miles still ahead, I slashed not just a tube, but a tire. (These were a pretty new set of Gravelkings. Bummer.) Luckily, another rider had a sewing kit, because I highly doubt the tire would’ve held a tube if I’d just tried to replace it. I sewed it up, we stuck a piece of electrical tape on the inside, and added a dollar bill for good measure. I skipped a 10-mile section of the ride, but this still held up for 12 miles to get me back. Shoutouts to Rick for having a sewing kit, and to Maya for organizing the ride 🤙🏼🤙🏼
