

Hi, both of these cycling shorts are gore tex active, but one has the expected c-knit backer whereas the other has a mesh backer, reminiscent of the older gore tex stuff. The c knit ones are from 2019, no idea about the others. Did gore tex Active used to mean something different? Will these mesh shorts have the same breathability as the c knit ones? I love the Active membranes but I don’t want to buy something completely different just with the same name. Thank you.

Gore Wear is a cycling brand. Gore-tex is a trademark for a PTFE waterproof fabric used by many brand (like Castelli, Gore wear, and many more).
If you dont have the “gore-tex (r)” logo on it, it is not a PTFE waterproof fabric. It is just a Gorewear bib
