gave my head a wobble. Remembered we’ve got to keep moving forward. What helped? Knowing Croatia was up next. The number one country I’d really been looking forward to out the entire trip and the first time that we’d seen the sea all the way since Blighty. The cliffside bays look just like the postcards. It was pretty warm though and Syon felt like going right into a haird dryer. So there’s no choice than to jump into the sea during a break. We couldn’t have asked for a better stop at the end of the day right on the side of the sea. We were a bit tight on time to check out the Kirk waterfalls, but luckily David stepped in. David smashed the free peaks with us this year, so we passed the storytelling baton on to him. If you’re planning a visit to Karka National Park, don’t rush through it. Take the time to wander, swim, and savor a meal in Scradin. It’s not just a hike. It’s a full-day immersion into one of Croatia’s most beautiful and peaceful corners. Scradenki Buck is not just a waterfall. It’s a cascading series of travatine steps, emerald pools, and wooden boardwalks weaving through lush greenery. With the driver joining us and Jimmy freshlegged, it meant we could really hit the Adriatic coastline. The aim was the charming town of Tri and we’re meeting David there to hear about the waterfalls. Those bays just kept going all through the day. So we took a couple of dips on route. After the craziness of the last few days, we’ve changed our day off from De Bronik to Split. We had the perfect plan for a proper day off.
