Hello purchased my first mountain bike to see if like the sport. A well used marlin 8 gen 3 2023 model it was owned by a 14 year old so it was beat on a lot. It was 400 bucks so I hope I can get what I paid out of it. So far I really like it dropper post it helps climbing hills alot. The question I had is it a notable upgrade to go to a gx derailer and shifter. Currently the cable end of my sx shifter where it enters the derailer is frayed pretty good and I need a cable soon. I'll attach a picture of what I'm looking at on eBay and the new to me bike. I also popped the chain one time after a stick got wedged in the derailer. Any feed back will be appreciated
